LA Noire: Vengance

I came up with the idea of this sequel because I think that their was almost no justice for the corruption and depiction of certain areas of the LAPD and other figures involved. They were mostly responsible for the downfall of Cole Phelps and the death of the young man, specifically Roy Earle was. So I want the sequel involve some type of justice for Cole Phelps and his friends.

  • 1 Synopsis
  • 2 Intented Gameplay
  • 3 Geography
  • 4 Character List
    • 4.1 Protagonists
    • 4.2 Antagonists

A direct sequel to the 2011 video game LA Noire, Jack Kelso along with Stefan Bekowsky, Herschel Biggs and Rusty Galloway create the LAPD Anti Corruption League. A faction like committee in the LAPD, where they task themselves to clean the police force of corruption as much as possible, …

Wiki Categories

Hi all. I think this wiki is suffering from serious overcategorization. Some pages, like Courtney Sheldon, have ten different categories, some of which overlap or are ambiguous. Why do we have a "Corrupt," "Corrupt Cops" and "Dirty Cops" category? These can easily be merged into one to include all corrupt figures, whether cops or not.

Most of the index terms being used are relatively useless and there does not seem to be any sort of logical hierarchy to what is going on. The purpose of categories is to groups items by their "defining" characteristics, IE the most central role they take on within the context of the game. That would be something like "Partner" or "Person of Interest" and not just general descriptors like "Liar" or "Divorced." …

Should Rockstar Produce a Dirty Harry Game?

So I've had LA Noire for awhile now and quite enjoy it, it's good to see the other side of the law from a Rockstar Game. But it's made me think. Now I am the Admin to the largest Campaign for Star Wars Battlefront III . Which as over 42,000 Supporters. And I've been thinking of creating a Dirty Harry Campaign. There my favourite Cop Films along with Die Hard. Imagine a Free Roam San Francisco during the 70's and playing as Clint Eastwoods Dirty Harry with his 44 Magnum. It would have more action that LA Norie. It could make use of the Dead Eye from Red Dead Redemption for Dirty Harry.

At the moment this is just an idea. But what do you's think should there be a Dirty Harry Video game?

How to solve crimes like Cole Phelps

I read this somewhere and just laughed.

  • When you arrived at the scene of the crime, make sure to touch every single piece of evidence with your bare hands.
  • If a person blinks, they're lying.
  • When running through crossfire, always make sure to casually adjust your hat.
  • Threaten to send everyone to the gas chamber.
  • If a person's face twitches, he's telling the truth.
  • When apprehending a suspect, make sure to announce your presence when you are a good 30 feet away from him, thus giving him ample time to run away from you.
  • When interrogating a suspect, make sure to yell at them for no particular reason at all.
  • Running people over with your car is okay, but only if you have the siren on.
  • Treat your partner like your personal chauffeur.
  • If he lives in apa…

L.A. Noire Poll, 21

Hello detectives and investigators, welcome back to the polls section.

First things first, I don't know about you but I have a busy week, that doesn't mean this poll will delay.

However, there is one thing does delay, the result of the 1st~20th poll, sorry if you are waiting for it.

I will give you the result of the last poll first: Your favorite L.A. Noire case? "Quarter Moon Murders" won the first place. Most voters favored the " Gangfight" Traffic street crime in the second poll.

Now, what do we have this week? Well, we have done enough with primary characters, how about secondary characters? Those who appear in more than one case or have something to do with the protagonists are considered secondary characters. Please don't ask me where ar…

Hello detectives and investigators, Sector 36 welcomes you back to the polls section.

Now, its August! How fast the time goes? Soon the summer vacation will be over... So sad for students.

Anyway, let's get down to the business, I can't think anything good for this week's poll, but I think this should be alright.

The last week result: The case "A Slip of the Tongue" won the first place. And the Vice street crime, "Commies" beat all other competitors, won the first place.

Now, this poll should be more, if you think so, let me know. (Oh, Spoilers in this poll, read at your risk)

L.A. Noire Poll, 17

Welcome back.

Yesterday the 2012 Olympic game officially started, have you guys excited? Well, I have no feeling because I am not good at sports, but I still wish my country can earn some shiny Gold Medals, I have never been to U.K., let alone London. I don't know about you people but I won't keep track of this (well, just watch the news, I don't even need to watch the live show, anyway, get back to the point), I suck at almost every kind of sports, even at the sports games. So, any of you follow the Olympics? Let us know what you think today!

Just a note, don't envy that London has host Olympics this year, Los Angeles has twice played host to the Summer Olympic Games already, in 1932 and 1984!

L.A. Noire Poll, 16

Welcome to the polls section, detectives and investigators!

The case "Manifest Destiny" is the 16th case in L.A. Noire (DLC cases do not count). If you like Cole you may not like this case. It is a turning point for Cole and the game. This case also left some loose ends that will be tied near the end of the game. But this poll will focus on Cole's affairs, what do you think?

Oh, I missed something, the result of the last poll. Okay, the fake killer part: Grosvenor MacCaffrey won most of the votes. And the sidearm: Browning Hi-Power won the first place.

In case you don't know, the Type-14 Nambu, is the Japanese pistol used by officers in Imperial Japanese Army, may be obtain by the U.S. Marine like Cole or Jack as souvenirs.

L.A. Noire Poll, 15

Hello everyone, welcome back to the polls section.

Before we start today's poll, let view the result of the last.

Well, well... We got tie on the 4 areas, maybe people are little confused?

SPOILER Warning: The Homicide desk is a long part of the game, the end is a shock to the Detectives and Captains, the real killer was having fun with them, but he is no match of Det. Cole Phelps, eventually subdued and the innocents are released.

Now let me ask you...

Note: Don't think about the pistol that introduced after 1947.

There you have it, enjoy the poll and have a nice week.

This poll ends on July 22nd, see L.A. Noire Poll, 16 for more.

Howdy Detectives and investigators!

The last poll was pretty "dark", even I can feel the pressure, this week, take it easy; this time, short and sweet.

But hey! Never hurt to view the result of the last poll.

The Arson cases, the DLC case "Nicholson Electroplating" and the final climax "A Different Kind of War" won the first place.

The Traffic street crime, "Gangfight" won the first place.

Now the new one

Note: You may never heard of some of the areas, check this wiki for more info.

There you have it, if you have some idea for polls, let me know.

L.A. Noire Poll, 13

Welcome back to the Poll section, detectives and investigators.

First, let's see what the result we got on the last poll.

The first one: I asked you about the DLCs, well, one user preferred more features in the original game, the first place, two winners. The Extra Cases and the Completed Edition both got 7 votes, the rest got flat zero.

Second one is about your favorite DLC cases, "The Consul's Car" (Sorry for the minor mistake in the last poll) and "Nicholson Electroplating" case got a vote, "The Naked City" is slightly better, 2 votes. BUT the "Reefer Madness" case won a decisive victory on this one, 10 votes.

Alright, I think you have tired about the last poll, so let's start the new one!

One year of XD

So, how are you, people of Wikia,

Today is a special day (to me, atleast), it marks a year sionce I joined Wikia.

It all started on June 23rd, 2011 (duh!), after months of being annon, I made an account and began to travel through the wikis.

Until the start July 1st, I didn't make nothing, only some minor edits on some wikis. In that date, I found a 'new home' (nah, not really) in the form of the GTA Wiki, and by August, I've became a Patroller there. I was promoted to an admion in April 2012. I met many people there, some friendly, some vandals, but I had a really good time on that Wiki.

My second (major) stop was the Gangstar Wiki, founded by a good friend of mine, and former admin of GTA Wiki, GTANiKo. By November, I've already became a Bur…

Gamo a Gamo - L.A. Noire 2 vs. Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V has been announced, and now Rockstar's taking over dear Remedy's Max Payne series, and perhaps another Red Dead will break through. However, GTA 5 will reportedly feature the facial recognition feature for God knows what purpose. Also, even though L.A. Noire is the only video game in history to be recognized, let alone earn something of an ovation at the TriBeCa Film Festival (something no other Rockstar game has done), it still angered GTA fans due to their inability to blow up people with rocket launchers and enter cheat codes, causing GTA 5 to become even more popular. However, with Team Bondi gone, the only thing we can hope for whole-heartedly is the new Grand Theft turns out to be as big a letdown as Modern Warfare 3 and that mo…

L.A. Noire Poll, 12

Well, as always, welcome back to the Polls section, how is everyone doing?

And yes, as always, before the new poll, let's view the last polls results. For the last poll, we were trying to find out which desk is the hardest one to obtain all cases 5 stars. No one seems to think that Vice and Traffic, are the hardest, both got zero vote, in my opinion, case "A Slip of the Tongue" and "The Naked City" are not easy to gain 5-star rating.

Okay, the Homicide desk won the second place, (2 votes), although no DLC cases available, Homicide desk has 30 stars to get. What's worse is you are in the major leagues when you made Homicide, so don't expect any easy case, detectives.

The first place went to Arson, and yes, Arson cases are not just "boring" to …

The Black Dahlia

In the game while you play the Homocide desk, you have a lot of cases about a guy who kills women. This is actually based on a true story. The other officers and the Forensic examiner, Corothers, thinks that the black dahlia is back. The story begins with a naked girl found then another, and another. It gets to the point where everyone is stressed out and wants to find this guy. The murders are usually people that are drunk or caught by surprise. I belive that there where only two case where the bodys had some dignity and kept their clothes on. Anyway, back to the real story. Elizabeth Short died on January 15, 1947. They found her body in a trash strewn near a Los Angeles suberb. She was found by a man who was traveling with body severd i…

extras in the game

There are a lot of extras in L.A. Noire. For example, if u pre-ordered the game like I did, you will get pictures. All the pictures I believe are hints of where you can get the police badges. These are one of the many you can find. This add-on is called the Badge Pursuit Challenge. If you were the first one to find all the badges you got a lot of money. I tried but failed because I didnt understand the pictures that came in the case. I belive they were the famous landmarks in the game. If you can find them and you know where they are, comment on my blog. I will add something new every week and will have discussions on achievements, the ending, or Q and A's, etc.

Let's view the result from the last poll first, Harlan Fontaine won the first place (4 votes), and William Worrell, got the second place.

Last week we were looking for the "bad guys", this week we are looking for "good guys". You guess it, the protagonists! The most important character in the L.A. Noire!

Note:

L.A. Noire Poll, 9

Hello everyone and welcome back.

For the result of the last poll, Rusty Galloway is the winner if the first poll, for the Homicide case, the "Quarter Moon Murders" won the first place, the "Bus Stop Shooting" is the winner of the third poll.

Now, to the fresh business, the 9th poll.

I cannot think any game like L.A. Noire or the FPS game that has no antagonist. Beside the protagonists, antagonists are the central characters in the L.A. Noire, because if there are no "bad guys", you won't know who the "good guys" are. If the game lacks this type of figures, you may lack the interest of playing it.

However, in general, antagonists in L.A. Noire are real assholes, they may be gangsters, corrupted officials, or even your former partner. They are t…

L.A. Noire Poll, 8

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long wait, I am pretty busy this week.

Let's view the result of the last poll, the winner for the vehicles is "Hidden" category (7 votes), second spot goes to "Sports" (3 votes).

Now the real thing begins...

"How would like a chance at smiting this man with the sword of Justice?" - Captain James Donnelly

This quote impressed me very much, because of L.A. Noire, when I think Sword of Justice, I think Homicide detectives.

Another thing is some of my friends like tarot cards, the card number 8 is "Justice", which is one of my favorite ones, the character in the card normally will have a sword.

Okay, some of you may found it is hard to put those things together, but in the 8th poll, I will ask you something about the Homi…

Good news for all L.A NOIRE fans!

Well, this blog post is about two and a half month late, but no one else posted it, and late is better than never!

On february 13th, a Rockstar spokesperson wrote, answering a reader Q&A on the company's official site."Don't count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise in the future. We simply have not decided anything. We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for L.A. Noire as a series." After Team Bondi closed down, I think many of us thought L.A NOIRE 2 just wouldn't happen, however, this shows there's still a big chance for a sequel.

However, it doesn't seem like we will se the follow-up to the crime solving action game of 2011 in the near future though, as R…

Good to see you again.

First, let's review the last poll, looks like most users like Stefan Bekowsky more than other partners (10 votes), the second spot goes to Rusty Galloway (2 votes). However, most users vote Roy Earle as their least favorite partner (8 votes), with Ralph Dunn at the second (3 votes).

Before the poll, I have to apologize that this poll will last for two weeks again, not running out of ideas, but running out of time for my math.

Finally, if you just here to vote, skip those things above and start here.

What is there to say, I love playing L.A. Noire and Mafia II (both around the same era) and I play xbox and drums. I love all the old music from both Mafia II and L.A. Before the poll, let view the result from the last poll first.

Unlike the first poll, this time is pretty obvious, Captain James Donnelly got 6 vote "so far". Both Captain Gordon Leary and Captain Lachlan Mckelty have 2 votes. The last two have zero, due the former has only a few interactions with the player, the letter has a dark corrupt nature, I guess.

I know that there are still some users vote in the old poll even it is ended, so I will update the results every 10 polls, so the result of the first poll will be seen in the tenth.

Could L.A Noire Be Any Better?

A'ight, so since I got this game a couple of days ago, I been diggin' it like you wouldn't believe. I'm really impressed with the work that went in to this thing, and know it will definitely hold a place among my top ten.

However, as with everything in life this game is not 100% perfect. Any glitches or technical things aside (none of which I have experienced yet) I'd like to know from the community here what you all think could have been/still could be added to this game to make it even better than it already is. Ideas are endless folks, so lets get it rollin' and try to come up with some possible suggestions for storyline/gameplay improvements or additions that you personally think would make the game that much more appealing to you.

This is the experimental poll for L.A. Noire wiki.

Why do you need a experimental poll? Simple. The Admin has given me the permission to make polls, but you also have the chance to decide, would you like a weekly poll, a monthly poll, or not?

I will say it again, this is an experimental poll, if you have any advice, leave a comment below.

Thank you for the vote and have a nice day!

Note: This poll seems to only exist in my user page, if you see this notice, you have entered the wrong page, sorry for inconvenience.

My Mission and Sequel Ideas

Ok here are a few ideas

  1. Add a Black Dahlia missions and more pertaining to that case
  2. Have the Sequel be with Jack Kelso since there was alot of loose ends left open at the end of the game.
  3. Put the desks that were scrapped into the game.
  4. Put more side missions like Red Dead Redemption Has
  5. More Enterable Buildings
  6. I found Arson to be the most Intriguing so maybe more of those
  7. And finally have a mission sort of like And Then There Were None

L.A. Noire Life Lessons

L.A. Noire features a faithfully recreated Los Angeles and a realistic law enforcement experience for players to enjoy. Here is some of what I learned whilst driving around the City of Angels.

  • No one ever goes quietly; It's common belief that resisting arrest is a great idea, and that punching cops will help you get away with any crime.
  • A real detective invistigates everything in a crime scene. Even the cigarette butts.
  • Police officers often take any car they want, just because they like the colour better.
  • If you commandeer someone's car, then immediately get out, the person who owns will no longer want it.
  • Criminals often record their misdeeds in the company ledger.
  • You can harshly accuse someone of the same thing and politely apologise for it mul…

I felt incredibly sad when Cole died, did anyone else?

I dont know how but every single time Rockstar make a charactor like Cole, I feel so sad, but i still havent cried quite yet!

I almost cried a tinsy bit when John marston dies on Red Dead Redemption and was wondering if any other gameplayer felt this way with Cole or John. Also, Rockstar manage to always make it so emotional and really accurate to expressions. I guess thats the big part of emotional expression that makes me emotional. Anyway, please email me back as this is my first time writing a blog and am really excited!!!:)

Images

Hello to all publishers. I managed to extract the images of the game and I'm up to my wiki for use. I also talked to Tom for sharing the database of both wikis so all these images can be used without having to download to your PC and back up. Simply click the image and copying the name can be put in this wiki. There are thousands of images of all kinds and I'm up in the order that they appear to me (I have to rotate and change the DDS to PNG format). You can visit this link to see updates as we go up images.

This might be the end of Team Bondi

While Team Bondi's L.A. Noire is widely regarded as one of the best games released this year, it looks like it didn't manage to stop the studio that made it from being placed into administration.

The Australian studio has been under investigation about treatment of its employees, and it's been reported that no publisher wanted to publish their next game.

Smart Company reports that it called the studio's office and was told that "the company was no longer located there". The company might still end up being sold or merged, though.

If this is the end of Team Bondi, who would you like to make L.A. Noire 2? Assuming that a sequel will be made, which I think given the sales of the original is pretty much a given.
